West Indies have concerns over the fitness of Adrian Barath and Carlton Baugh ahead of their World Cup clash with South Africa. Both players are struggling with hamstring injuries and have been sent for scans to discover if they will be fit to play in the tournament.

Wicketkeeper Baugh retired out on 29 during the recent warm-up match with Sri Lanka, with Darren Bravo having to take over behind the stumps. Opener Barath did not play any part in that game.

West Indies open their World Cup campaign against the Proteas in New Delhi on February 24.

Meanwhile, skipper Darren Sammy is confident the slow bowlers he has at his disposal will be good enough to make an impact on the subcontinent.

Sammy has two left armed bowler Sulieman Benn and Nikita Miller – in the 15-man squad, as well as the off-breaks of former skipper Chris Gayle.
