WICB not willing to compromise with player fitness levels

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is supporting its selection committee’s decision of not taking Ramnaresh Sarwan, Jerome Taylor or Narsingh Deonarine for central retainer or developmental contracts. They said that these players failed to prove their fitness and as a result they are out of the contract.

However, pacer Taylor could not find a place in the team because of his questionable appearance to the rehabilitation as he had a back injury.
